Journey Through Anime Festival Asia – Indonesia 2012

Finally I can write this article…
Maybe it’s too late to make a review of Anime Festival Asia – Indonesia (AFAID) that was held in the beginning of September at Jakarta International Expo…

I went there both days… but, I only entered exhibition and stage area… I didn’t attend the Super Anisong Stage…
So, the review is mostly from the Exhibition Hall…

First of all… I went there in the morning… but ticketing queue already long…
What I must say here is… the ticketing system was awfully bad… I bought the ticket on the spot for few minutes, but my friends who already purchased ticket by pre-order, they took 3 hours to redeem the ticket… my friends arrived earlier than me…

After that I entered the JIExpo area… ticket check…

Thus, I directly entered Exhibition Hall…
Actually I’m only interested with Good Smile Company and Culture Japan booths…
I must say that the area is too small… under my expectation…

As I entered exhibition stage… there was large dueling ground… Bushiroad Vanguard tournament was held there…

In the edge of the room, you can see a Moe-Moe Kyun Maid Cafe and Ateller Royale Buttler Cafe…
I intended to go there, but after seeing super long queue, I dropped my want…

Next… there was a local bookstore that also opened a booth…

S.H.Figuarts Indonesia also opened booth… they displayed their collection there…
S.H.Figuarts Indonesia is a group for people who loves collecting S.H.Figuarts line action figures… I’m actually also the member of it…

Next to S.H.Figuarts Indonesia booth, you could see the Nendonesia booth…
Nendonesia is a group of people who loves collecting Nendo line products…

Next one is Video Game Indonesia stand…
They held a Persona 4 tournament…

There was also Canvas Ranger booth… they caught my attention…
Apparently, they made a family card game that is called Pet Wars…
The characters in the card game are taken and adjusted from Indonesia-based ghost, event, etc…

ANIMAX booth… they featured and played Eureka Seven: AO anime in the stage hall…

Also… there was a Gatsby booth…
I didn’t take any photo of their booth… so, you better see this advertisement video instead…
This video was played a lot in the stage hall =_=;a

Actually there were more booths such as Sony Music, AFA Shop, etc…
Most of them were selling collectible goods…

And now… I would like to share some photos that were taken in Good Smile Company booth…
They sell a lot of Vocaloid Nendoroid (pretty mainstream), some of Idolm@ster Petite, and Moekana packs (both standard and booster pack)…
Actually, I’m more interested to display-only items…

Culture Japan booth…
Miraiception Level: Danny Choo…
This booth displayed mostly Mirai-related stuffs… posters, figures, dollfies, software, cards, ita-car, etc…
Along side the booth, I also attended Culture Japan Talkshow in the Main Stage by Danny Choo… and appearance of special guest Takanori Aki the Good Smile Company Director…
Because of Danny’s presentation, I’m bit interested to Mirai-chan… and also, he is a good motivator actually…
I guess I should buy if the scaled figure is released by Max Factory later day…
Too bad, photograph is prohibited in the stage…

I only took a few photos…
Among the photos below, only 0048 Takamina and Flandre that were taken by me… the rest were taken by my friends Vaporizel and Zield…

Actually there were a lot more cosplayers… but, I can’t upload them all…
I noticed there were 2 Flandre, 2 Marisa, Youmu, Tewi, and Patchouli…
