Important:
– Use VBA Link 1.7.3
– Make sure your save type is flash 128kb and real time clock is checked
– Make sure you select “Single Computer”
– Determine what link you would like to use… Link Cable Emulation or Wireless Adaptor Emulation…
– Make sure turn off “pause when inactive windows”
Q: I did link, but there is message “can’t transmit with the faraway trainer” or “the other trainer is not ready” or similar thing, what’s going on?
A: Both sides must have World iDollDex legally…

Q: I cannot find the way in Route 127, where is the way?
A: Find the way between trees, see the picture below
Q: How to get Kanto Region?
A: Ask person with Renko Sprite in Touka City, you will obtain JX-Pass, then you go to the North of Muro Town, ask sailor there, and you go to Kanto.
Q: How to get Java Region?
A: You will need some tasks to do:
– Ask gentleman in Hanada City, this will allow you pass to Johto through south gate of victory road
– Ask fat person in Wakaba Town (New Bark Town)
– Go to Route 25 and ask people there (with the ship)
– Beat Steven in Mt. Silver
– Return to Route 25 and he will escort you to Java Region.
Q: How to enter Java Grand League?
A: You need 7 Gems to enter Grand League, here the list of gems:
1. Ruby: given before battle with Steven
2. Emerald: Beat trainer named Tenshi in Yogyakarta
3. Topaz: Beat trainer named Woofle in Solo
4. Diamond: Beat trainer named Kryuzei in Semarang (inside house)
5. Pearl: Beat trainer named Kira in North Plain (South of Semarang), he is covered with trees.
6. Amethyz: Beat Yukai in Lost Age
7. Sapphire: Beat Director of Surabaya Hospital.
Q: What is Z Bonéka?
A: Z Bonéka is secret Bonéka that not recorded in iDollDex (like Miku). They are overpowered. Legit Z Bonéka in this game always shiny.
Another World FAQ
Q: What I supposed to do in Muenduka after beating Marisa?
A: Go to Hakurei Shrine and ask Reimu for battle, beat her, and go to the bed room and ask Yukari. You will be sent to Gap Zone.
Q: I’m lost in the Gap Zone, where is the way?
A: Outside World portal… go to the top-right edge of map, thus press 1 step left and 1 step down…
Hakurei Shrine portal… go to the bottom-left edge of map, thus press 1 step up and 2 steps right…
Q: Where is HM Fly and Boneka Flute?
A: Both of them are obtained in Hyakugokurou. HM Fly is given by Yuyuko and Boneka Flute is given by Youmu.
Q: How can I access Hyakugokurou?
A: After rescuing Mr. Fuji in Boneka Tower (Shion Town)… once again go to the top of Boneka Tower and check the golden tomb.
Q: Help, I lost in the Bamboo Forest……..
A: Look into this map

2. Keine’s House, only can be accessed after you beat Kaguya
Q: How can I access Dream World(s)?
A: After you got Dream Stone (key item), sleep in your own house in Masara Town.
Q: How can I get Dream Stone?
A: Defeat [insert your rival name here] in Indigo League and Prof. Oak will give you Dream Stone.
Q: Where is HM Waterfall?
A: After you beat Sanae and Yuka…. Reimu will give you one…
Q: Where can I get Zero Coupon?
A: None in this game. You must transfer it from Touhoumon World Link game.
Q: Is there any requirement for searching wild Last Word with Last Tag?
A: Yes, only works after you beat 8th Gym. I set this because you can buy Last Tag in early game.

There is no Road of Liminity, Sanzu River, Hell or Palace of Earth Spirits in the game.

Quick question: I tried the different links for Touhoumon AW v1.41, and some stuff still look funny:
-I have a lot of glitched graphicswith some sprites, like Aya turning into Marisa or an item on the ground looking like two different parts of a person instead of an orb,
-some TM (like TM05 Roar) keep respawming on the road after I enter a building.
Also, some attacks don’t match seem to look right:
-TM 48 Morning Sun, acts like the original Morning Sun (restore HP) and no more like a grass attack like I used to see, this is the same as Bride Sturdy, is that normal?
-Marisa’s Spore attack doesn’t act like Swagger, but definitely liket the original Spore (sleep attack), is that a bug or was it what you meant in the readme by “Edited learned moves of some Boneka”?

wow is this page glitching or something? only two responses… and both in the past week since I last visited?
actually, now that you mention it… I’m having many of the same issues as muuma – and I have been for months.
I’m totally chill with random character transformations (I’ve worked with someone on a hack of FR once before and know how hard it can be to make sprite swaps cooperate) but I noticed the same sort of inconsistencies in attack functions.
I never tried morning sun… but I read on the wiki that it’s supposed to be basically energy ball.
Spore is definitely working like a sleep move, even though it’s a (i think confusion?) different status move in all the other touhoumons I’ve played.
is that a mistake? or just some tweaking on your part?
On another note, the music… omg I love the music. but sometimes, things doing stuff will cause the music to freak out until you leave the area (x2 speed, random cut-outs of layers/the whole, skipping or restarting).
Knowing the difficulties with sprites, I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it is to swap sounds (and you’re epic beyond belifef for doing it!)… but have you considered attempting some kind of quick-fix for it? just so those of us who are literal touhoutune addicts don’t start cutting ourselves in grief?

I think i remember seeing this question in a different post (before the weird page-reset thing that deleted all the replies).
If I’m not mistaken, you talk to someone in the World-link equivalent of rustboro (i thought it was rustboro at least) who has renko’s sprite.
there’s some requirement before it… like beat the E4… but I’m assuming you’ve done all that already.
let me see if I can find a more detailed explanation.

I got into the Java region and got all of the 7 gems but i the grand trainers in the java league are just too powerful. The level doesn’t really matter, but the fact that there are too many trainers, causing to make your PP drop to 0. Is there a way to make this easier?

@Steven Hang: You can buy Ethers in the Tool Shop at the Human Village if the only problem you’re having is PP.

Konata, if you have all the tomes, then give them all to Patchy. If you don’t, then search for them, or check out my long post in the Another World section.
Anyway, after giving the tomes to her, she’ll tell you to go to Border Island. Talk to Yukari to go to Border Island. Catch A-VIVIT, as she’s a one time encounter, and take the teleporter under where she was. You’ll be warped to the Gensokyo League.
Let me warn you that you’ll have to fight 10 people once inside, and you can’t leave until you defeat everyone or lose. They all have full teams of Level 100 Boneka and all of them have at least 3 LBoneka and/or ZBoneka. Also, all Toyohime, Yorihime, and L/ZFlandre will have Destroy. Have fun. 🙂

I need help with World Link. I defeated the Boneka League the 1st time and got Kanto pass. I beaten the 1st and 2nd gym of Kanto but now I dunno what to do. I went through the cave but there’s a Genji blocking my way.

Go to hanada city talk to an old man there, he will allow you to go to johto, talk to all people there and fight the trainer at the left of the pokemon lab. Then go to the Mt. Silver and defeat Steven in the Mt. Silver cave. Then return to Hanada city (Cerulean city) again and go the upper route, then to the right. There should be a ship now which will bring you to the java region. Walk to the upper route in the java region, there you should find the old man who gives you the Bonéka flute. Then you can return to kanto again and you can wake up the Genji with the flute. If someone still have some questions, I am always trying to help in the comment section.

There’s a problem when i finish Touhoumon another world. after the elite four, the game skips the start where you get to choose the save file, new game or options. instead its been blanked by strips on the text bar, also its skips it that part so i can’t access the dream world

Same problem here, im playing with a emulator on an android device so i cant save anyway, i got there using save states and now i need to get waterfall but to that i need to fight Yuuka and i cant because i havent the dream stone.

It’s bit hard to explain…
first, you need the wave sample file with 8-bit 11025Hz format…
split it into 4 second each…
insert them to the rom…
and then make voicegroup based on inserted sample…
and then make agb track based on voicegroup that has been made with constant voice change…

How do you find Grand Suwa Lake and Subterranean Flame in World Link? I beat the Boneka League and I can’t seem to find these areas anywhere, and I want to find LSuwako and LUtsuho

After you get the National Dex from Birch, go to the Weather Institute and talk to the scientist on the top floor. He’ll mention a weird weather pattern and a route. Go to that route and there will either be rain and a new dive spot (Suwako) or really bright sunlight and a cave (Utsuho). Once you catch/defeat one of the two, go back to the Weather Institute and the scientist will tell you where the other one is.

In addition, if you use a Walk Through Walls cheat in the underwater part of Route 127, you can actually find another entrance to Suwa Lake. However, Suwko will not reappear.

Um, I hope there’s an aswer for this. In Touhou Puppet Play 1.8, after entering Saffron City, I keep having the Start Menu pop up unexpectedly, and it’s very irritating.
Is there any patch/cure/whatever to solve this?

I’m playing Puppet Play 1.8, same as above, in English, but (I’m not sure) not Enhanced.
Does the Enhanced or non-Enhanced have a say in whether I meet 10D Puppets/Bonekas? And does it affect the presence of Johto?
If it’s possible, can someone give me a link to a suitable patch? And does patching erase saved data (START>SAVE)?

I’m playing Touhoumon Another World 1.51 with the Unedited Header Patch applied on VBA Link, the latest version, and my game immediately freezes when I try to go to Celadon City, or whatever it’s called in this version. I have to reset the game to play again, and every time I try to enter it freezes. I enter it from the west side after leaving the Underground Path, if that makes any difference. Do you know what might be causing it? Thank you for considering this question, and if nothing else at least it lets you know that something might be amiss. I’ve been enjoying this game greatly, and it’d be a shame to have to stop so suddenly after playing for so long. I appreciate all the work you’ve put into this.

Could you make a list of the different cries you used for each pokemon? Or how you swapped Boneka to make the iDollDex? I’m trying to load different Boneka using a codebreaker.
The Boneka match up for Height/Weight/Number with the original Pokemon, but when you use the Wild Encounter, you get the one with the same Cry.
This game is wonderful! Thanks a bunch for editing it.

Rinnosuke, with all his fighting moves, seems like he was made for a third evolution into MANNOSUKE!!!. I was wondering if you were about to include him and decided against it or something. It would be very cool if you included him as either an E evolution or a sunstone evolution.
