Touhoumon: Ordinary Version
Maybe some of you already know that there is a Touhoumon game based on old classic GBC engine…
It’s called Touhoumon: Ordinary Version… a hack of Pokemon Silver (U)… made by a friend of mine, Gemini…
What’s different from original Silver game?
-The big draw of this hack is that the original 251 Pokemon have all been replaced by the cast from the Touhou series (they’re actually just dolls made in their image in this hack), complete with their own stats and typings.
-With the exception of legendaries and a couple rarities, all characters have three stages of evolution: Chibi, Normal, and EX. Chibis have a “C” in front of their name, while EX forms have an “E” in front of their name.
-A lot of moves have also been edited and even replaced with different ones.
-The Type Weaknesses and Resistances are adjusted and balanced a bit to accomodate the altered type pressence in this game. For example, Dark resists Psychic now instead of being immune, and has gained a Steel weakness (and there are a good amount of Dark and Ghost types in this hack to counter those Psychics anyways).
-Maps are pretty much left intact from the original game, though a few have been changed to remove that “Pokemon” feeling. For example, the National Park has a Yin-Yang layout instead of a Pokeball.
The latest version as this article posted is demo v1.10…
you can grab the patch at http://hax.iimarck.us/topic/1485/…
Also, I’ve added this hack, Touhou Puppet Play Emerald, and Touhoumon Cirno in Touhoumon Page…
Pokemon Dream Radar
Since two days ago I’ve been busy playing (not so) new 3DS Downloadable game… Pokemon Dream Radar… released in October 7th, 2012 for US region… and it costs US$ 2.99…
Basically, this is just a side game of Pokemon Black 2 or Pokemon White 2… an augmented reality game but it has no 3D display…
The gameplay itself is similar to Face Riders…
You can obtain certain Pokemon with their dream world ability or items and than transfer them to Pokemon Black 2 or Pokemon White 2 game cart…
The main attractive point is… that you can obtain Therian Form of Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus…
The following summary is based on my experience of playing…
– One cloud is generated every 5 minutes… be patient… this is somewhat annoying…
– You can maximize the amount of clouds by trading 5 Play Coins… You can only trade Play Coins 3 times a day…
– Pink Clouds will give you Dream Orbs
– You can obtain item or catch Pokemon from Gray Clouds…
– The following extension will be unlocked if you obtain certain amount of Dream Orbs:
Eureka Extension α (Tornadus) –> 400 Dream Orbs
Eureka Extension β (Thundurus) –> 1500 Dream Orbs
Eureka Extension γ (Landorus) –> 3000 Dream Orbs
That’s total amount, you can spend them for upgrading device safely…
– If you manage to catch all Tornadus, Thundurus, dan Landorus… the credits roll will be played…
– Simulator α, β, γ will be available after credits roll… this extentions are for testing your catching speed ability… keep in mind that you can only transfer Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus once…
– Generation IV will work after credits roll… You can catch mascot Pokemon from Generation IV games… I managed to catch Giratina and Lugia… as I only have Platinum and SoulSilver carts…
– You can transfer the item(s) or pokemon into different region… in my case… my Japanese Pokemon Black 2 isn’t recognized in my 3DS System (Asia/US Region)… but, the Pokemon Dream Radar recognized the game cart itself… So I transfered the Pokemon that were already caught from Pokemon Dream Radar to my Japanese Pokemon Black 2 cart…
For now, I’m waiting the clouds to be generated…
Tornadus and Thundurus have been sent to Japanese Pokemon Black 2…
Landorus, Giratina, and Lugia are still in Pokemon Dream Radar… I plan to transfer them to US Pokemon White 2… the package haven’t arrived yet… T.T
