What is This Game?
In the Japanese Community of Touhou Puppet Play, there are numerous number of unnoficial patches of either Touhou Puppet Play 1.8x or 1.5x.
Thus, there is one person who combined some of those unnoficial patches. The upgrades compared from the official game:
– Fragment expansion, it allows you to catch Ten Desires crew or boss only Fragments in the official game.
– Fragment cries
– Kanji print (originally it’s footprint in the pokemon games)
– Johto scenario
– Kakera no Kuni (Boneka Village)
– Slide evolution
– Slightly moveset change
– and other patches that I don’t know… maybe…
And this game is simply port of Japanese version… and unfortunatelly I haven’t actually played that Japanese version before… so it would be useless if you ask me about the plot, where do you get [insert item or boneka name here], or why this and why that…
The Kanto plot is much same as Fire Red/Leaf Green story, while Johto story is similar to Gold/Silver game…. I think…

This project was started 6 days ago…
This project is simply port of Japanese Touhou Puppet Play 1.8 added with Enhanced Patches from Japanese community…
As far I know, features added that aren’t in official Touhou Puppet Play 1.8:
– Johto Region, America Land (?), and some of unknown place
– Upgraded song table
– Ten Desires puppets and some other puppets such as Sanae-JK, Suika-MP, Saigyou Ayakashi, Satsuki, Marisa-Ex, VIVIT are available…
– Pichuun sound
– “Slide evolution”, which allows your puppet evolve between A,S,T,D,H class
– and other things that I haven’t discovered

This hack is raw port of English Touhoumon World Link v1.42,
Which means it has compatibility with Touhoumon Another World v1.51, Touhoumon MMW v1.30, and English Touhoumon World Link v1.42
The features are same as English one…
Porting 95% – 5% difference is voicegroup and frontier trainer card sprite. All other things such as move learned, move tutor, growth rate, songs,maps, events, glitches, etc. are done… not fully tested though…
Translation 1% – only rough translation (using google translate) of attack name and trainer class… Some of move such as Death Butterfly, Master Spark, Kamikaze, etc. remain same name as spell card name..
Areas outside Hoenn (Kanto, Johto, Gensokyo, Java) are remain untranslated…

Touhoumon: Marisa’s Magic World is designed for helping other games to find Bonéka that is hard to find in appropriate game.
– The game has no Story. Focus on “Catch and Collect.”
– You can catch any Bonéka in this game with some exception. There are 4 areas currently in this game:
Area C: Chibi Boneka area
Area N: Normal Boneka area, and some with non-prefix Boneka such as Mimi-chan, Ruukuto, Kedama, etc.
Area E: Ex Boneka area

In the beginning of the game, only Area C that is unlocked. The other areas will be unlocked as you catch more Boneka.
– Link compatibility with either Touhoumon World Link or Touhoumon Another World. Limited to Trading. Recommended using Touhoumon World Link/Another World v1.30 or later version.
– Item prices are cut down, because you can only battle with Marisa, Reimu, or Sanae. Mary/Renko also can be battled.
– You will get A-VIVIT as starter. But, It can’t be traded to World Link or Another World game.

If you don’t set save type to 128kb, it will be ended with message “1M-circuit board not installed” and you can’t save game.

By releasing v1.30… the main story is completed. And also, I added behind the story of counterpart game through alternate world.
By releasing v1.30… my expansion of gensokyo ends here. I will give batton pass to someone else who wants to continue expand the side story (such as Higan, Subterranean, Garden of the Sun, and many other places).
In the next update (if possible), I will only fix the bugs and glitches and give some events in already existed areas, edite some sprites, and plan to write development detail for who wants to continue this.
I’m really sorry to all of you… because my real life stuff is getting intense.

A lot of things that not completed yet. The game is not fully tested, so… there are many glitches or bugs here and there.
Some of songs produce 8-bit sound, because drum set of Fire Red is different from Emerald.
This Game is recreation of Japanese Touhou Ningyougeki ~ Gensokyo Scenario with some editing.
NEVER open town map if you’re in Gap Zone or Unknown Island

Ruby-based Touhoumon Draft

Approximately one month ago, I managed to make touhoumon draft with Pokemon Ruby as base.
The game metadata (moves, mon IDs, dex order) mirrors Touhoumon World Link.
The purpose making this draft is for helping other people to learn or make their own hack.
I wonder if anyone also interested to make his/her own touhoumon or learn about pokemon hacking.
What are done in this draft:
– Puppet sprites, Name, base Stat, Icon, and Moveset.
– Edited base Move and Move Names
– Decapitalized Item Names
– Song Insertion (see Song List.xlsx), this draft have imported instrument sample from Emerald rom, as the result of song test:
– Marry/Renko sprites
– Abilities name
– Dex Order
– Male and Female symbol
– Starter Changed into ChibiSuwako, ChibiUtsuho, and ChibiKanako. You
can edit them though
What are not done in this draft:
– Map untouched
– Wild Battle Data Untouched
– Trainer Data Untouched
– General Text (move description, ability description, menu text, etc.)
– OW Sprites except Marry/Renko
– Storyline untouched
– title Screen, Boot Screen Untouched
– Dex Text
– TM Data remain unedited
– etc.
as you can see… wild battle data, trainer data, story, general text, and other aspect have not been edited.

Antivirus might detect sappy1.0 installer and dexter.exe (both are inside tools.zip) as spyware/adware, but that’s just false positive.

Best Emulator: Visual Boy Advance 1.7.2
Make sure you set this option before opening rom in Visual Boy Advance:
– Real Time Clock must be on (Option -> Emulator -> Real Time Clock)
– Save Type Flash 128kb (Option -> Emulator -> Save Type -> Flash 128kb)
If you don’t set save type to 128kb, it will be ended with blank white screen.
If you want to use link feature. VisualBoyAdvance Link 1.7.3 is the best.
If you already played earlier version (ver 1.291), you can still use that save game data.
