Kantai Collection – My First Event Report

This is my first time to participate the event of Kantai Collection game.
Spring 2015 Event! “Order! 11th Battle Operation”
At the first time, I thought that I wouldn’t finish this event. Because as for the information that I got, this event would be an aircraft carrier-centric. While I only have two not-so-well-trained aircraft carrier ship, Kaga and Akagi (level 30-ish at that time).
During this event, I took Easy Difficulty for all maps. Because my HQ Level was not high enough to take Hard Mode (at that time my HQ Level was 64), and the second reason because I only had few ships that trained.

Map 1 – Begin preparation, operation no.11!

This map was easy, but I regret choosing easy difficulty. Because in medium difficulty the drop were better. My friend who chose medium difficulties got 2 Ooyodo and Amatsukaze while clearing map.
When clearing map I used A-B-C-H route. But, for farming I used A-B-D-F-H route because it was easier.
First time, 3 times my fleet never reach node-H, because I forgot to equip seaplanes and radars.
This map is a good place for farming modernize-material. Kongou-class is common drop in the boss node (H).
Notable drop, what I got from this map: Urakaze (3x), Yukikaze, Suzuya

First time using combined fleet for sortie. This map would be easier if we used carrier task force. But, I didn’t have enough carrier ships. Ended using surface task force.
Going through A-B-D-G-K this map was easy, but the resource consumption was disaster because I used surface task force (many battleships in the fleet).
I got Katsuragi (Standard Aircraft Carrier) as a reward by clearing this map, and I didn’t get any good drop in this map.

Map 3 – Disruption of the Bay of Bagel trade route

In my opinion, this was the hardest map to clear. Before entering this map, I didn’t have any Aviation Cruiser and Light Carrier, and made me to train Mogami and Houshou. They’re deployed at Level 20-ish… I really didn’t prepare well for this map.
The other thing… I forgot to equip Zuiun to Mogami. And lastly, Abyssal Naka (CL Oni) is waiting in node-D…

She is pretty much annoying, usually she made one or two of my ship heavy damaged. The boss node is much easier to defeat than her though.
I had disadvantage in this map, and this map forced me to use both support expedition. Many resources wasted here.
The positive side, I got the following ship: Agano (already have), Naganami, Takanami

This map was easier than 3rd map, maybe it was because the well prepared ships and right equipment.
Thanks to Type 3 Shell that make killing the boss (Harbour Water Oni) a lot easier. At that time I only had two Type 3 Shell.
And also at this point my Sendai got 2nd remodel, I took the night battle equipments. Type 98 Recon Seaplane (Night Scout) and Searchlight. I hadn’t used Star Shell until 6th map.

The route that I took was A-C-F-E-M. As I cleared this map, I got the Italian fast battleship Littorio as reward.
I consider that drop in this map were good. Ship that I got from drop: Nowaki (2x), Shoukaku

Until 4th map, my resources got depleted harshly, especially ammo. So, I was doing the other things in the game while waiting the resource regenerated:
1. Orel Cruiser
Yeah, doing 2-3 over and over with my submarines. Sorry….

2. Weapon Developing
Collecting Type 3 Shell and Type 91 Armor-Piercing (AP) Shell for the next maps.
I was pretty lucky, got 2 Type 3 Shell in the first and second try.
And got other 4 Type 91 Armor-Piercing (AP) Shell

3. Give a marriage ring to Fusou
Break the Lv99 limit. Event map 5th and 6th for honeymoon…

4. Clearing World 2 Extra Map (2-5)
Clearing 2-5 map to get medal, and exchanging the collected medal for blueprint. The blueprint was used for Fusou 2nd remodel.
I guess my luck meter was pretty high at that time. I got the following ship from drop: Hamakaze, I-19

My fleet could pass the 5th map easily, thanks to Type 3 Shell and night battle equipments. But again, the resources consumption was harsh…
Fusou’s Zuiun Model 12 helped a lot in the opening air battle.

It’s my imagination or the boss is similar to Espada.

I heard that by bringing both [Mogami and Mikuma], or both [Suzuya and Kumano], or two ships from a choice of [Choukai and Ryuujou and Yura]. But screw it, except they’re still under Lv10.
No drop luck in this map. All I got: urrgggg… Mutsu which I already have.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhh! This map was pretty sadist. I only used F-G-I-M-O route.
In node-I, I met Abyssal Battleship Hime, then Abyssal Aircraft Carrier Hime in node-M, and finally in the boss node (O) I met Abyssal Battleship Water Demon…



Despite of the twisted enemies, this map is easier than 3rd map. It’s because I have proper ship and equipment here. An yes, Kitakami already got 2nd remodel here.
By clearing this map, I got the new Seaplane Tender Akitsushima. From drop, I got: Sakawa (2x), U-511, Hiryuu, Kaga (already have), Akagi (already have)

In the end, while farming until the event end… I didn’t get any ship that I want:

Both Harusame and Roma… Getting them is just a myth…

MVP of this event is Shigure!

Enjoy the song “The Tears of Shigure”… as I’m crying because I didn’t get Harusame and Roma…

Participating this event, in my case, wasted around 50,000 for each resource with exception bauxite 7,000… and also around 300 instant repair buckets… and this is the HQ and resources condition after event… My HQ level elevated from 64 to 78 during event…

For next event, I should prepare 100k resources and 500 buckets…

Overall this event is really exciting!
Too excited to kill the boss… made me forget to record clearing video…
