東方スカイアリーナ・幻想郷空戦姫-MATSURI-
Simply… HAYATE + KURENAI = MATSURI
Similar to Hisouten and Hisoutensoku game,
You can make characters from earlier Touhou Sky Arena game (such as Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, etc.) playable in new game…
Screen shots:
Character select… Reimu becomes playable…
All you need:
– upgrade your old TSA game into HAYATE v1.51
– upgrade your TSA KURENAI into v1.51
– install MATSURI v1.51 patch
I think, it would be easier to install MATSURI if TSA and TSA KURENAI are installed in default location… and also your system locale is set to Japanese…
Patches link:
HAYATE v1.51
KURENAI v1.51
and MATSURI v1.51 can be found in either HAYATE or KURENAI page above…
Mirror, if the links in area-zero page down (I’m not the uploader though):
If I donwload the Hayate v1.51 mirror links and the Matsuri v1.51 links and I put them toguether I get the mix of both games, right? Or Matsuri v1.51 is directly the mix of this? I am a bit confused. @_@
Anyway, thanks for this.

Technically, no.
You’ll still need the Kurenai (if you don’t have it) because Matsuri v1.51 is just a patch to “Unite” the Hayate v1.51 to Kurenai

I can’t wait to get a chance to play this with all the characters!

I’ve been having trouble with the Matsuri patch. Can’t seem to get it to work… Any advice to get it done? I patched both Hayate and Kurenai to v1.51.

Hey, don’t you all think that Matsuri 1.51 patch is actually an update patch for Matsuri 1.50 ?

I’m going to try installing my copy this weekend; if I run into any of the problems you guys had, I’ll be sure to let everyone know.
Everyone should make sure their system locale is set to Japanese first; that could be the source of a lot of issues.

@Furuyuki – I was thinking the same thing. But I never saw anyone mentioning it.
@Genichiro – I did have the locale to Japanese. Still nothing… Please let us know if you succeed with the patch.

I got Matsuri working for me just fine. I just had them in the default locations, updated the original TSA and Kurenai to 1.51. After that, I just ran the Matsuri patch, put in the address to where the folders of the games are, and it turned out fine for me.
On a side note, a person I know can’t even get the original game to run on his comp. Any ideas y and how to fix?

Ehi man, could you tell me the name of your default folders? I downloaded the Sky Arena in .zip files so I don’t have a folder to install it, any ideas?

@Zan : LOL, i’m sorry. nevermind that.
I finally found the reason why some people can’t get the Matsuri patch working. It’s in the registry. You need to ensure that both game have been REGISTERED IN THE REGISTRY so Matsuri patch can find both game’s path. Try reinstall both and apply Hayate 1.51 and Kurenai 1.51 patch. And for Matsuri 1.51 patch, apply it to Hayate folder.
