General Description
Hack of : Pokemon Fire Red (U) v1.0
Hack Name : Touhou Puppet Play 1.8 Enhanced
Current Ver : v1.00
Best Emulator: Visual Boy Advance 1.7.2
Make sure you set this option before opening rom in Visual Boy Advance:
– Real Time Clock must be on (Option -> Emulator -> Real Time Clock)
– Save Type Flash 128kb (Option -> Emulator -> Save Type -> Flash 128kb)
If you don’t set save type to 128kb, it will be ended with message “1M-circuit board not installed” and you can’t save game.
If you want to use link feature. VisualBoyAdvance Link 1.7.3 is the best.
You can still use older version save data.

it wasn’t pointed out in the first version but when you defeat Mahogany’s Gym and try to leave your rival talks to you, this sequence of dialog isn’t translated or forgot to put in or something since its gibberish just thought to give a heads up

@Krista: Use the IPS file enclosed in the download and the IPS program. When the program is open, you’ll want to grab the enclosed IPS file and your Touhoumon PPE game. Then try patching it, and it should work. Don’t forget to make a .sgm or something before doing so of course.

Yep I figured it out, it was my bad luck. Now my biggest pet peeve at Boneka Tower… why is CLayla and CYuyuko so, stingy for not popping up as often as CLyrica, CLunasa, CMerlin, and CYoumu. I caught all of them except for CLayla and CYuyuko and I’m running around on 7F looking for those two. It’s driving me batty!!! x.x

I never found CLayla to be that hard to find.
It’s CYuyuko that I couldn’t find for nearly 4 hours; it’s no fun when a Boneka you want so much just doesn’t want to pop up.

@Duckie: It depends on your luck I suppose. I can say that CYuyuko and CLayla have a VERY low encounter rate. Spent like 30 minutes at the Boneka Tower, and found like 3 Youmus and only 1 Yuyuko. Haven’t seen Layla at all, but it’s probably easier to catch her D Form in Johto and then breed it. (It’s found in the Union Cave. Fairly common encounter.)
That’s assuming you’ve gotten that far. 😡 Have the National Dex?

I’m right now on my way to Saffron after I make a U-turn to get the Fly HM move which I did get but, my mouse decided to slip onto the close button. So, I might catch me a CSuwako for Surf then try and catch Remilia and Flandre at the Power Plant. Although I’ll come back to Boneka Tower to try my luck on 7F, when I’m not in a pissy mode at the RNG. x.x

I found CLayla after switching Futo for Ran and then for TSuika. Seems like the Boneka appear differently, like when I used Ran, only CYuyuko and CYoumu appeared. For Futo, only CLunasa, CMerlin and CLyrica.

I think you need the national dex to get some of the other evolves forms… I’m not sure or is there something wrong with the evolution stones because of the stones I use for my Boneka like CTewi don’t work it goes to the use item event and then says “Huh?” and nothing happens. I’m either going to guess you need the National Dex or are the stones bugged.

I think I was actually the first person to point out that you needed the National Dex to use the “slide evolution” feature.
I figured out why Kazami won’t evolve. Looking through the game data reveals that while CKazami can evolve to AKazami with a Power Heart, Kazami cannot. I have no idea if this was what Aichiya intended or not, but be aware that the “slide evolution” does not cover every evolved Boneka. For example (if I recall correctly), only Chibi forms can evolve into Advent forms.

Due to the “problem” I had, I had to use P.G.E. to modify evolutions. If slide evolution is in the game, I prefer to let every form of Boneka evolve into another form freely.

I copied raw hex evolution data from Japanese (because it would waste a lot of time if I edit one-by-one)…
as I stated in the readme file… duh… it’s better for you to ask Japanese community… clear enough?

There is some wiki where I can find info of the game (stats, moves, type chart)?
I know there isn’t yet (o maybe I’m wrong) a wiki about youhoumon 1.8.
So, There is any compatibility whit other wikis?
I started with cReisen, and I don´t know, if she is heart type, why the fist move she learns isn’t STAB. The starters shoul learn about lv 10 its first STAB move (pshyshot is Reason type)
Also, If you manage to make a location chart, like in the previus version, I’ll make you a monument.
I need a Type chart version. Or change the type matchup list in the Help comand (press L or R during a battle)
Also, There is any tool like YAPE that could open the room and see its entrails? the last time I use some kind of this tools, the tool broke.

The Touhou wiki should have most of the information you need. It lists type matchups, evolution data, etc.
If you want to edit the game, use P.G.E. (Pokemon Game Editor) instead of YAPE.

You can buy some UFOs in Goldenrod City in the underground. Many things are sold there.
In the Boneka Village, what “power” does Reimu give you when you pay her? I gave her 999,999 dollars and I don’t really notice anything. I hope she didn’t scam me, lol.

It would appear that the Lorelei bug in Icefall Cave at Four Island is still present… When I got there in v1.00, it was fine, and that was before I completed Johto. However, I completed Johto first this time, and now that bug is triggered.
DrakeLC said in the v1.00 comments section that when you get there, you get to speak to Lorelei as if the battle with Team Rocket is over, but those members are still there and cannot be talked too. This makes it unable for you to the enter the cave containing the sapphire on Six Island.
Does anyone know what is the cause of this and how it can be resolved?

to get national dex you need to have captured 60 diffrent Boneka and you should be abele to figure out from there

It’s either a bug in the game, or it’s a bug I’ve made by messing with the rom
But in Lost Cave, at the end, there’s a girl that’s supposed to turn around and battle you
This does not happen in this game…
Is it a bug the game had originally, or is it just a bug caused by me messing with the game?

Completed the entire National Dez and done pretty much everything except find whichever cosplayer has the Ninja Suit… I also had a very good luck at the evolution data to find breakages in the Slide System and found quite a few, namely ASunny, ALuna and AStar cannot be slided to, as well as SMedicine, DLayla and DDaiyousei. And maybe a few others I can’t remember. I ended up making my own patch or… tweak is probably the better word, to correct this, plus fixing a bunch of the ‘doublespaces’ after the word Boneka for items.

You might want to finish the Sevii Islands before heading to Johto.
To get to Johto, get the national dex, head over to the building where you were checked for all 8 Kanto badges. Near the entrance there will be a path to the left. Follow it, your now in Johto! Enjoy Fly being completely useless in this region ^_^
Keep going left to find Mt. Silver with RED, but you need Johto Badges to get in.

CKasen has a very low chance of appearing inside Mt. Mortar. As for CVIVIT… I don’t think she spawns anywhere at all.

I believe you have to breed for CVIVIT. I know that you can get a VIVIT in the waterfall area of Mt. Silver on the ground though.

I apologize for being wrong on the breeding thing. You cannot breed CVIVIT. (xc) All I can tell you, is that it’s evolution VIVIT is definitely in Mt. Silver and A-VIVIT is the Ho-Oh event on Tin Tower.

In order to get to Birth Island, you have to defeat Red in Mt. Silver. You can get to him with all the Johto badges, of course. After you defeat Red and the Trainers you have to fight all in a row, all of which have teams of level 100s. After you defeat Red, you can go to Vermilion City to the guy, who can take you to the Sevii Islands and he will give you an option to travel to Birth Island. Warning though: Make sure to save your game at Ayakashi. Only chance to catch it otherwise. In the grass outside of Ayakashi’s area, you can find CTojikos. Hope this helped!

You have to trade, if you want to get Prismriver and MP-Suika. CSendai can be found at the Tin Tower, but it’s very rare.

Liking it so far. However, I’d rather it didn’t have the TOO INCREDIBLY HIGH QUALITY THAT IT CUTS OUT FOR FIVE SECONDS WHEN IT GETS INTERRUPTED music. While it does sound really nice, it doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the soundtrack.
Other than that, this has been a great piece of work so far.
