French v0.01 Touhoumon World Link released
Well… since I stopped updating World Link, Another World, MMW… I’m trying different things…
General Description
Hack Name : Touhoumon World Link
Hack of : Pokemon Emeraude (F)
Current Ver : 0.01
Best Emulator: Visual Boy Advance 1.7.2
Make sure you set this option before opening rom in Visual Boy Advance:
– Real Time Clock must be on (Option -> Emulator -> Real Time Clock)
– Save Type Flash 128kb (Option -> Emulator -> Save Type -> Flash 128kb)
This hack is raw port of English Touhoumon World Link v1.42,
Which means it has compatibility with Touhoumon Another World v1.51, Touhoumon MMW v1.30, and English Touhoumon World Link v1.42
The features are same as English one…
Porting 95% – 5% difference is voicegroup and frontier trainer card sprite. All other things such as move learned, move tutor, growth rate, songs,maps, events, glitches, etc. are done… not fully tested though…
Translation 1% – only rough translation (using google translate) of attack name and trainer class… Some of move such as Death Butterfly, Master Spark, Kamikaze, etc. remain same name as spell card name..
Areas outside Hoenn (Kanto, Johto, Gensokyo, Java) are remain untranslated…
Attack description also unedited…
I need help for filling iDollDex and translating… I made a bit tutorial about text editing inside zip file…
Most likely, I won’t update anymore… because it’s near 100% porting…
I hope you work as team while editing… because one person editing is really though… I leave that matter to you all…
And… I’m really sorry that I can’t speak French… what a shame… T.T

What a challenge you tried! French sure is a difficult language (especially to write it), I know that because… I’m French!
So, I can try to help you for this translation, it seems to be a very good challenge! ^^
(but personnally, I prefer to keep Attack Names in English, translate them could be strange for some, like “Death Butterfly” or “Ichigo Cross”)
Well, in conclusion, i’m ready to help for that! ^^

Do you have a list of descriptions for World Link pokedex stored up somewhere so I can get on it right away ?

Okay so since I finally got to it Here’s a little report of activity
Did all the characters whom’s name start by the letter “s” (all evolution/variants)
And might I add, the character amount restriction on the “type” window is a total pain in the neck ?
Anyway, I’ll do more tomorrow…

Funny fact:
The word “Gap” can be translated as “trou” in french
This word is also used as slang to define drunk-hards…
The fact Yukari is a “she” does not help…at all must I say because in fact this type sounds horribly wrong in so many ways its just gross….

C’est un très bon hack, il est vraiment long et pouvoir revisiter les autres regions (Jotho, Kanto … ) est vraiment bien trouvé.
Very nice work with The French Version Aichiya and I love the Battle Frontier and the Java Region in the game ^^
