General Description
Hack of : Pokemon Fire Red (U) v1.0
Hack Name : Touhoumon Another World
Current Ver : 1.41
Best Emulator: Visual Boy Advance 1.7.2
Make sure you set this option before opening rom in Visual Boy Advance:
– Real Time Clock must be on (Option -> Emulator -> Real Time Clock)
– Save Type Flash 128kb (Option -> Emulator -> Save Type -> Flash 128kb)
If you don’t set save type to 128kb, it will be ended with message “1M-circuit board not installed” and you can’t save game.
If you want to use link feature. VisualBoyAdvance Link 1.7.3 is the best.
If you already played earlier version, you can still use that save game data.
This is most probably the final version from me (except if there is a fatal bug). In a short time, I will release developer version and detail about current rom.

This rom below is provided for anyone who has a problem playing in emulator other than VisualBoyAdvance (i.e. NDS, Android, PSP, etc.) or who want to take a source from rom (sprites, etc.):

If you want to open rom using Advance Map, use Advance Map 1.92. For unknown reason the newest Advance Map 1.95 won’t load those roms correctly.
Extra 2
For other emulator user, if roms in Extra 1 don’t work. Try download this tool:

open the tool, and load rom provided in Extra 1, then select SRAM Patch, and click Patch button.
That tool will create patched rom.

A lot of people made their own touhoumon hack…
but the original japanese game is made by hemoglobinA1C
for example

There is a tool called XSE (eXtreme Script Editor)… for general scripting… you need a little knowledge about romhack if you want to use XSE…

Hey, I’ve found some weird issue with porting from the NDS to VBA. The save files seem to have gained memory on the NDS, ie 129 kbs, but VBA only can manage 128 kbs. It’s not too much of an issue if you aren’t switching from emulator to NDS, but for trading between games, it makes it somewhat impossible. From my knowledge, I think I have to start over and I don’t think I can play on my NDS if I expect to trade between games…This is more of a flash issue than it is the ROM, but curious if you know a fix.

I noticed the version of this hack, which is awesome by the way (World Link is also awesome.) 😀 , is 1.41. But here is the main question I have……Can this version trade with Touhoumon World Link v1.33? I’m only asking because I was curious.

I have LYuyuko, LKoishi(Only one I found in tall grass), LAya, LKanako, LSuwako, and LSuika.
I remember seeing a list of things that need to be done before finding Last Word but don’t remember where I saw it.

I started over World Link and have already beaten the Elite 4!
Anyways though, I know this has been mentioned but breeding seems to be bugged from what I’ve experienced. LSuika + Tori have resulted in 3 ???????’s and 2 CReimu’s. This is with Another World 1.41 base version.

Hmm, I just tried VBA 1.7.2 and to no avail other than the ?????? being gold instead of red. I usually use VBALink 1.8.0.
Other information: both the Boneka are from my World Link save and the LSuika is male. Here’s the save of Another World 1.41 where I’m encountering the bug:

I think I may have found where the memory is being allocated wrong.
Basically, I switched out my LSuika (male) for my EMarisa (female) and it resulted in a CMarisa. I think what the code is doing is assuming the Tori is having the baby since the LSuika is male. Since the Tori doesn’t have an evolution chain, or really a possible egg, it defaults to some random memory address or CReimu as a default. Why CReimu and not CSanae? I think that has to do with how they are coded into the ROM, ie CReimu is at the top of the list in YAPE.
The only unreasonable thing that could be drawn from that conclusion though is that Tori probably does have a possible egg, though how to reach it probably involves the Tori + Tori combo, which I could test. If that’s the case, then the code is assuming LSuika is having the baby, but, because males aren’t coded to have babies, it does something wonky and forces the random memory address or CReimu for the above reason. This I can only assume if the Tori + Tori combo results in an egg.
Also, にほんごですか。 If what I said is confusing I can try translating it to Japanese, but I’m still learning so my Japanese isn’t that good.

Loving the new stuff added from the previous version, as well as the Boneka List being added. My only issue is trying to find Dolls and CParsee since they never wanna show up. Does Dolls show up in the same patch of grass as LAlice or in the normal part of the forest? As for CParsee….so many battles and no encounter with her. Might just be bad luck though.

Dolls is in the grass area of Marisa’s House, meanwhile CParsee and Parsee are in the Yami Cave

By the way, the Bunbunmaru paper mentioned that the PC was a bit buggy.
I would assume it means the items PC as well; I checked my items in the PC, and nearly all of them turned into ???????????? items.

There are some Triangle Blocks in Makai (the blocks look like the one that’s on Sevii Island 9 used to summon Deoxys). Talk to those.

Hi again, Sanae. I’m not sure if this a problem with anyone else but if it is, please tell me. When you re-upped the unedited header version of Another World 1.41, I got it and tried to use it with my save, what happened was:
1. It mentioned that the 1M-circuit board not installed (I was playing this on the psp gba emu, gPSP)
2. My save from 1.40 never appeared.

Another issue could be that you switched from regular to unedited. The two don’t recognize the save the same, at least not on my NDS. Also, SRAM patching seems to cause issues with my NDS, but it sounds like you didn’t go that route.
Also remember to change the name of your save to 1.41.

What I did was download the fixed version (That was the one that gave me the 1M error), but I used the GBATools program that Sanae recommended. After I did the SRAM patch on Another World 1.41, I get a message saying my save is corrupted.

Umm, Domino…….When I got the Unedited Header Version, here were my results (The FIRST time I got it, I mean.):
Without SRAM Patch – Got The 1M-circuit board not installed message and couldn’t save.
With SRAM Patch – Saved the first yime without error. Second time & afterwards, gives me the save is corrupted message.

I had the exact same error/issue but when I used the base version, no unedited or SRAM patch, it worked without a hitch. I don’t understand SRAM, PRAM, and NOR enough to know exactly what’s going on, but for whatever reason the SRAM has trouble loading it’s own saves when the game is SRAM patched, at least on the DS.
Now for the base and unedited header versions, they should both work on VBA. On my DS however, I received the M-1 Circuit Board error. That pops up when there’s an incorrect flash size, or more to the point, the save allocation is too small. The base version, no unedited header, works without any issues on both my DS, VBA, and no$gba for me.
However, if you’re porting a save from the DS, the size will be off by a very small amount, roughly 4 bytes. Because of those 32 bits of data, neither VBA nor no$gba recognizes the save. VBA demands the saves be the 128k flash and as long as they are, saves will be recognized and usable. If they get changed and altering the size with the no$gba converter doesn’t work, then you have to start over or from a save that isn’t changed in size.
But anyways, check your emulator settings and test out different configurations, particularly the base game and not the unedited header. If that doesn’t work, then I’m afraid I may be out of solutions.

I was wondering if you could release a version where Boneka that require trading to evolve, could instead require some other method to evolve. Such as stones or other requirements, for people who play the game using other emulators for Android phones or Playstation Portables.

Thank you for this update Sanae. I’m having a blast. I only wish I could catch ZBoneka without turning to World Link but I guess it cant be helped. I will beat them both.
One little gripe I have about the update though is, I know you wanted to make everything more alive, but it seems almost *too* green now. Its not a big issue I guess. Just an observation.
