Hack Name : Touhoumon Another World
Current Ver : 1.20
Best Emulator: Visual Boy Advance 1.7.2
Make sure you set this option before opening rom in Visual Boy Advance:
– Real Time Clock must be on (Option -> Emulator -> Real Time Clock)
– Save Type Flash 128kb (Option -> Emulator -> Save Type -> Flash 128kb)
If you don’t set save type to 128kb, it will be ended with message “1M-circuit board not installed” and you can’t save game.
If you want to use link feature. VisualBoyAdvance Link 1.7.3 is the best.
If you already played earlier version (ver 1.10), you can still use that save game data.
A lot of things that not completed yet. The game is not fully tested, so… there are many glitches or bugs here and there.
Some of songs produce 8-bit sound, because drum set of Fire Red is different from Emerald.
This Game is recreation of Japanese Touhou Ningyougeki ~ Gensokyo Scenario with some editing.
NEVER open town map if you’re in Gap Zone or Unknown Island

This rom below is provided for anyone who has a problem playing in emulator other than VisualBoyAdvance (i.e. NDS, Android, PSP, etc.) or who want to take a source from rom (sprites, etc.):
Latest Version
If you want to open rom using Advance Map, use Advance Map 1.92. For unknown reason the newest Advance Map 1.95 won’t load those roms correctly.
If you want to open rom using YAPE, make sure you change back the price of evolution stones (except sun and moon stone) into original value (2100 pokedollars) using item editor. This is YAPE bug or something, if we change the price of evolution stones, YAPE gives error message.

You need to get waterfall first,,,,

Yo, me again. Sorry for the pestering!
It’s just that it’s getting hard to go places when I just can’t fly there.
I can name the 5 places that should be fly-able.
1) Masara Town- to go to Gensokyo faster instead of needing to fly to Tokiwa every time.
2) Guren Island- hasn’t been bugging me as much, but it needs to be there.
3) Indigo Plateau- Pain to go through Victory Road each time.
4) Eientei- just to get at the patchy grasses easier.
5) Moriya Shrine- So I don’t need to go up the waterfall each time if I want to go there or Makai.
If you make a v1.21, please fix this. Please?

About Guren, Indigo League, and Masara (and actually Moriya)… game always crashes when I activated fly flags to those places…
so, I better to remove the flags
Eientei… you can’t fly there by normal means, as the touhou story goes… and that is also the reason why it’s called “Bamboo Forest of the Lost”

I believe we have to wait until the next patch since the league for Gensokyo hasn’t been done yet. And I’ve also encountered the little bug of Outrage not doing damage, but giving the effect out.
That aside, wanted to say great work on this. Really been enjoying this and World Link.

I just ran into an interesting problem. The attack outrage doesn’t seem to do damage when used. The effect still happens but there is no damage dealt.

I’m pretty sure you can trade one over from World Link. The problem is that you get it near the end of the game, in Java, so it’ll be time consuming to do so.
Unless, of course, Aichiya made it so that someone gives one to you in Another World. But I’m not certain about that.

Was wondering if there was a Touhoudex that could be used with both your Another World and World Link Touhoumon games. I mainly ask because there is conflicting information with the touhoudex’s from the touhou wiki. Such as Chibi Marisa having the sprite from the touhoudex 2, but having the electric property from the first touhoudex, in the Another World. And in World Link, the Chibi Kurumi has different starting moves than what the dex says and the # for her in the game says 200, while the dex1 says 258 and dex2 says 197…

Well, I just loaded my save data and it said I’ve been playing for 10 hours but I remembered the last time I save it said 11 hours. I closed the VBA window and load it again and now I’m stuck in 7 hours. . . Am I the only one that has problems with the save data?

Hello there~ Great job making these games, really, they’re awesome ^^. I’ve got a little question regarding Another World: sometimes wild Boneka have equipped some interesting items, such for example CChen sometimes has Soft Sand, CMeiling sometimes has Black Belt or Liechi Berry, CMystia has Sharp Beak and many other cases. What I wanted to know is if that was intentional (for reasons such as not putting a person who gives you such items or something like that) or it’s actually a little thing that you’ve let slip :3
