Hack Name : Touhoumon World Link
Current Ver : 1.23
Best Emulator: Visual Boy Advance 1.7.2
Make sure you set this option before opening rom in Visual Boy Advance:
– Real Time Clock must be on (Option -> Emulator -> Real Time Clock)
– Save Type Flash 128kb (Option -> Emulator -> Save Type -> Flash 128kb)
If you don’t set save type to 128kb, it will be ended with blank white screen.
If you want to use link feature. VisualBoyAdvance Link 1.7.3 is the best.
If you already played earlier version (ver 1.20), you can still use that save game data.

Hey, this looks like a great game, but when I tried to play it using gpsp, a gameboy advanced emulator for my psp, all i got was a blank white screen. Will this game only work with VisualBoyAdvance, or is there a version that would work on the psp?

it’s because you got a psp 1000 and for the 1000 it’s imposible (exept if some1 makes a homebrew game of this) because the 1000 has a too low ram memory (yea i know the wiki’s say the 1000 has a 32 ram memory but the emulator can only use halve of it)

Wow, I’m shocked at the immediate response Asd got while I have been waiting for months and STILL don’t have an answer. At least you could have the common courtesy to say “No” if there isn’t the version I want so I don’t keep checking back every-so-often.

Well, because I can’t make a sure answer for your question… it’s better for me to keep quiet than give you a wrong answer…
I’m still searching why that’s doesn’t work… overmore I don’t have PSP for testing it…
for now, there are a bit info:
1. The cause of white screen maybe I use custom rom header, if this is the main reason of white screen, use this unedited rom header

2. While I testing rom using Supercard DSTwo 4 days ago (yeah finally I bought Supercard DSTwo 4 days ago just for testing this), most likely emerald rom/fire red rom has problem with save type (emerald rom goes white screen and fire red rom won’t save (1M circuit-board not installed))… in this case, we must patch SRAM from unedited rom header,
the patcher can be found

load unedited rom using that program and select SRAM patch…
if step 1 failed, go to step 2…
if step 2 also failed…… well… I can’t help you more…

You are correct; it is the custom header because I remember when Scarlet Emerald 2.0 beta came out, Anjirusensei and I figured out this same problem. However, I’d suggest putting a password on that download link or only making it available to specific people who have this problem because without the custom header, people can edit your rom (Which means some troll can edit one little thing, plaster his name on the title sequence, and parade around the internet claiming he/she/it was the creator). I know you don’t want that.

Actually, I only changed the rom name and game code,,,
I am not implementing complicated header code like in Emerald 2.0,,,
Since I already edited the rom name and game code in the first release, I continue using that term, because some people have some trouble to use load state if rom header is different…
Even with no custom header I made a small protection actually,,, especially for Last Word mechanics in the wild,,,

Alright, By the way, even if you don’t change much, the header editor changes the game so it can’t be played on a gba to psp emulator. Also, just tried the unedited header version. It works.

um, hello. I’ve played trough some of this game and have gotten to the part after the second Kanto badge. I’ve noticed the trainers near Hanada City don’t all battle you. Also I was wondering if i’d be able to help in some way, in anyway like map editing or spelling fixes. The game is awesome, and challenging through hoenn, but i feel kanto could have more, you know? i still have to visit Johto and Java

You could just load *.sgm file or import *.sav file…
or just rename *.sav file into proper name (same file name as newer version)

Hello Sanae,
I’ve played your rom and enjoyed it very much indeed. However, since I can’t use hack tools on them (YAPE for instance), I found it a bit hard to find the way to involve my touhou (to last word, final, dark, advent….)
Can you provide a sheet on how to involve them?
P/S: I love the way you arrange the dex, much better than what we had in other versions.

You can use YAPE with Unedited Header version of rom,
but before you opening it, you must change the evo stones price into original value (2100 pokedollar)
YAPE has bug. it won’t read rom if you changed price of evo stones.

Tried to get this working on my phone, but I got the white screen problem. Set all the settings, still no joy. Tried it on visual boy advance 1.7.2 with all the settings as said in OP, still no joy. Got the unedited header version and everything went without a hitch.
Started it up on my phone, and the first song I hear is Bad Apple in shitty GBA quality. Color me trolled.
